Self Assurance

He is the potter
I am the clay
Slowly, and carefully he continues to strip away
molding as he discards of useless pieces,
Old haunts and negativity has been brought to surface
rearranging my thoughts, responses and actions
He challenges me to walk on waters unseen
going further and deeper than I've ever gone before
Realizing I m no swimmer
He leads me into deeper waters
without the comfort of an earthly life jacket
or the assurance of an earthly float
'Put your trust in me,' He says
In you Father do I put my trust.
For whom else could I lean on
Depend on and rely on
Who else knows me better than I know myself
And in spite of myself chooses to love me
Flaws and all
Who will hold my hand as I venture to sights unseen and lands unknown
Only you Father, Only you

And they that know thy name
will put their trust in thee;
for thou, Lord, has not forsaken them
 that seek thee. Psalm 9:10
