Empowered To Be Me

For one to truly love self, you have to know whom your loved by.  The greatest lover in this world is Jesus.  I know that sound like a cliché and something you hear Christians say but, understanding the truth of His love, is the beginning of understanding how important you are to him.
And how important loving yourself is to Him.
His love empowers, builds, and doesn't fade of change. He doesn't love you because of what you have, who you know or how you behave. He loves you because He created you, and He created you for a purpose.
 John 3:16-17
For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believed in him would not perish but would have eternal life. (17) He did not enter the world to condemn the world but through him we would be saved.
He knows we are not perfect. He knows we make mistakes. He knows that if we are not fully connected to him we live our live trying to connect to others who are just as broken and confused as we are. Unfortunately, people don't wear their doubts or insecurities on there forehead, so on the surface they appear to have it all together, but in reality they too are searching for self.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.  Before you were born I set you apart.
That means that in Gods eyes we are special. Before entering this world the plans and purpose of our lives were set in stone. We are here on purpose.

He tells us that He knows what we have need of and because He knows what we have need of it's not our job to worry about those things.  Our job is to seek Him and he will make sure every need is met. Matthew 6:30-34

He says that when we pray to Him and call on Him, He will answer us. Psalms 91:14

As a man/woman thinks in His heart so is he..Prov 23:7
No matter what others say to you the most important voice in your life is yours.  What you tell yourself and think about yourself dictates every choice you make whether its for good or bad.

Understand that we all have flaws, faults, and make mistakes. We have believed , trusted, and possibly lied to, or hurt the wrong people, We are not perfect and sometimes lose 'self' because we're seeking the approval of people who will never be able to fill the void that belongs to God.   Knowing and truly loving 'self' begins with forgiving yourself and believing you are who God says you are.

Call to me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
We have to realize that not everyone's value system, upbringing, or morals are the same and this is why it's important to know who you are and whom you believe in. We have to strive to hear Gods voice in the situations of our lives.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not to your own understanding , In all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct your path. Prov. 3:5-6

The entrance of his word gives light and understanding to the simple. Psalms 119:30
